Meet Angie Jensen (Equine Specialist)
"Human Wisdom Gained Through Horseplay"

Angie Jensen has been involved with horses for over 35 years. She has worked in several capacities over those years including:

  • Groom, pony girl and barn foreman at the Race Track.
  • Groom and guide at several riding and boarding stables throughout Alberta and was a co-owner of such a facility in Drumheller, Alberta.
  • Travelled the Hunter/ Jumper circuit as a groom, for a member of Canada's Equestrian Team.
  • Worked at numerous breeding operations as well, being responsible for all aspects thereof, such as; delivering foals, handling stallions, mares and the paperwork involved including the registering of foals.

Horse Shows have been more than a pastime for Angie. She has achieved a great deal of success at open shows, Class "A" Arabian shows and, in the past few years, at Mule shows.

Angie has held the Great Opportunity Arabian Horse Sale since 1999, which she single-handedly organizes and manages.

Angie is actively involved in quite a few Equine organizations such as:

  • Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA)
  • Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association Canada (EAGALA-CAN)
  • Canadian Arabian Horse Registry
  • Strathcona Arabian Horse Association
  • Alberta Donkey and Mule Club.

She has been on several committees and has been on the board of directors for two of them. She is currently the vice president of EAGALA-CAN.

Angie has attended EAGALA's 2nd Conference, held in Amarillo, Texas and has been certified Level 1 by EAGALA. She has also hosted and attended a Level 1 training which was held near Edmonton in May of 2002.

Angie has owned and operated Jenovation Farm since 1997 where she has raised Arabian horses and has operated as a public training stable for horses and mules. She has now stopped taking in outside horses and has ceased the breeding program in favour of pursuing Equine-Assisted Learning programs.
